According to her, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) carried out the operations that led to the arrests.
Adebisi said the ex-convict was apprehended just five days after being released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
“The suspect, who was recently released from prison, was arrested around 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Oshodi Market after exhibiting suspicious behaviour. He was found with eighty thousand naira and an Infinix Note 40 Pro phone, both traced to a burglary he allegedly committed in Opebi, where he stole two hundred thousand naira and the device from a sleeping trader.
“Clothes and shoes he bought with part of the stolen money were also recovered,” she said.
In a separate operation, Adebisi stated that the RRS arrested two suspected pickpockets, aged 21 and 27, who attempted to steal mobile phones from commuters in different areas of Lagos.

“The suspects, who specialise in pickpocketing during rush hours in crowded areas, were caught before they could flee with their loot. Stolen items recovered during the operation have been returned to their rightful owners,” she added.
All three suspects are currently being detained at the RRS headquarters and will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
Adebisi further noted that the Commissioner of Police, Mr Olohundare Jimoh, commended the operatives for their vigilance and professionalism.
“Commissioner Jimoh, while commending the officers, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intelligence-led policing and proactive crime prevention. He assured residents that the police remain dedicated to ridding the state of criminal elements and maintaining public safety,” she said.
