- Lagos Restructures Waste Routes, Sanctions Poor PSP Operators
- The affected operators failed to meet required service standards
- Operators affected by route realignment include Shekaz Global Ltd. in the Isolo/Ishaga-Ire Akari axis and Krestabol Waste Management in Ikorodu’s Lowa area
Lagos Waste Management Authority has revoked the operational licences of several underperforming Private Sector Participation (PSP) operators and restructured waste collection routes in parts of Lagos to improve service delivery.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Managing Director of LAWMA, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday, explaining that the decision followed a comprehensive operational review aimed at aligning operators’ capacity with the growing waste management needs of the state.

According to him, the affected operators failed to meet required service standards, making the revocation necessary to protect public health and environmental sustainability.
The operators whose licences were withdrawn include Kenny JPS (Igando-Ikotun, Egan II), Clean Craft Nig. Ltd. (Igando-Ikotun, Isheri-Oshun I), Doveroost Ltd. (Eti-Osa West), Dewayls (Orade, Ijegun Emure), and Pesjoy Ventures (Ejigbo, Bucknor II).
Gbadegesin said LAWMA also reviewed and reorganised waste collection routes in rapidly expanding areas to improve operational efficiency.
“Waste collection routes have been restructured in fast-developing communities to ensure more effective service delivery and better coverage,” he stated.
He noted that while some existing operators will retain parts of their routes, additional operators have been deployed to strengthen service delivery in affected zones.

Operators affected by route realignment include Shekaz Global Ltd. in the Isolo/Ishaga-Ire Akari axis and Krestabol Waste Management in Ikorodu’s Lowa area.
The LAWMA boss added that some operators voluntarily relinquished parts of their routes to allow redistribution to more capable service providers.
Those in this category include Ayolade Oluwabukola Enterprises in Lagos Island East (Ajele axis) and Imperium Waste Services in Ayobo/Ipaja.
Gbadegesin explained that the restructuring forms part of a broader effort to strengthen the PSP model, improve accountability, and ensure waste management keeps pace with Lagos’ rapid urban growth.
He urged residents to cooperate with newly assigned operators and ensure they engage only LAWMA-accredited waste managers.
“We remain committed to sustained monitoring, enforcement, and stakeholder collaboration in our drive for a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Lagos,” he added.
