LASBCA, LSMTL Partner for Excellence in Building Control
Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) and the Lagos State Material Testing Laboratory (LSMTL) have strengthened their synergy.
This development follows a working visit by the LSMTL Management Team, led by General Manager Engr. Olayinka Abdul, to the LASBCA Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.
LASBCA General Manager Arc. Gbolahan Oki commended Engr. Abdul for her exceptional performance and efforts in ensuring the integrity of Non-Destructive Tests (NDT).
He emphasized the importance of appraising NDT reports, especially from third parties, to assist registered COREN Civil or Structural Engineers in making informed recommendations.
Engr. Abdul praised LASBCA for its efforts in enforcing Lagos State Building Regulations, which has significantly reduced building collapse incidents in the state.

The meeting was attended by management teams from both agencies, including district and divisional heads.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards ensuring safer buildings and a more secure built environment in Lagos State.”
