Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch, and Mohamed Salah powered Arne Slot’s team into the last eight, where they will meet defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The emphatic response came just days after Liverpool were jeered off the pitch following a disappointing 1–1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur. Sitting fifth in the Premier League, European success now looks crucial to salvaging their season.
Galatasaray’s hopes suffered an early setback when striker Victor Osimhen picked up a forearm injury after colliding with Ibrahima Konaté. Though he continued briefly, he was eventually substituted at half-time, limiting the visitors’ attacking threat.
Liverpool took control midway through the first half when Szoboszlai finished off a cleverly worked corner to level the aggregate score.

The hosts created several more chances before the break but were denied repeatedly by goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır, who even saved a penalty from Salah.
The second half, however, told a different story. Salah redeemed himself by setting up Ekitike for Liverpool’s second goal, before Gravenberch quickly added a third from close range after another Salah effort was stopped.

Salah then got on the scoresheet with a brilliant strike, bringing up his 50th goal in the competition. He came close to adding more but hit the crossbar before being taken off with a minor injury concern.
Liverpool now turn their attention to a much tougher test against Paris Saint-Germain, who advanced after a dominant aggregate win over Chelsea FC.
