The Ogun State Police Command announced on Tuesday the arrest of Kadir Owolabi, a motorcycle rider, who was allegedly found with three human skulls.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the State Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, stated in a release from Abeokuta, the state capital, that mobile police officers discovered the skulls during a search of Owolabi’s luggage.

This occurred during a routine stop and search operation by officers from 71 PMF, Awa Ijebu, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, on the Ijebu Ode to Ibadan Expressway near Refugees Camp Junction, Oru Ijebu.
Odutola added that the Police Commissioner, Lanre Ogunlowo, has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department to take charge of the case for a discreet investigation.

She also emphasized the command’s commitment to taking firm action against crime, encouraging residents to cooperate with the police, and assuring the public of trust, confidentiality, and protection of their identities.
“During the operation, officers stopped Kadir Owolabi who was riding a motorcycle. A search of his luggage revealed the shocking find of three human skulls. Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, 53-year-old Jamiu Yisa, behind the Ijebu Ode Local Government Secretariat,” she said.
