The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Ali Haruna, over the alleged murder and beheading of a woman identified as Aisha at a hotel in Girei Local Government Area of the state.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Haruna, who is originally from Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, but resides in Digno, Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa, was arrested on Friday, August 14, following reports of the killing at No Vex Hotel in Girei.

The suspect reportedly told police investigators that he killed the woman during their encounter at the hotel.
Speaking to journalists at the Adamawa State Police Headquarters in Yola on Monday, Haruna allegedly gave an account of what transpired before the killing.
According to him, he and Aisha smoked Indian hemp and had a sexual encounter at the hotel despite having met for the first time.
The suspect allegedly confessed to killing the woman before severing her head and engaging in other acts involving her remains.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated by the police.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said Haruna would remain in police custody while investigators work to establish the full circumstances of the alleged crime.
Nguroje said the suspect would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation.
