The tragic event occurred in their home in Epe after Mr. Azeez came across a phone number scribbled on a piece of paper inside the family’s Quran.

According to eyewitnesses, Mr. Azeez was engaged in his daily reading of the Quran when he discovered the mysterious number.
Driven by suspicion, he dialed the number and a man answered the call.
Without verifying the circumstances, Mr. Azeez concluded that his wife was involved in an extramarital affair.
In a sudden burst of anger, he boiled a pot of palm oil and poured it over Mrs. Azeez while she was in the kitchen.
The victim suffered severe burns and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital by neighbours who heard her screams.
Medical personnel at the hospital reported that Mrs. Azeez is in critical condition, receiving intensive treatment for her injuries.
Meanwhile, Mr. Azeez was swiftly apprehended by local authorities and has been charged with assault and attempted murder.
