Viral social media activist and youth influencer Martins Vincent Otse, famously called Very Dark Man, reopens the controversial case of Mohbad’s death in a quest to seek justice and unravel the mystery behind the Feel Good crooner’s sudden demise.
Ekohotblog gathered that Mobhad’s father, Mr. Joseph Aloba, had resubmitted a petition for further legal hearing on Sam Larry and Nira Marley’s involvement in Mobhad’s case, set to commence at the Federal High Court in Lagos on July 2.
On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Very Dark Man released unedited footage of an interview he had with Sam Larry, revealing the nervy interaction over Sam Larry’s involvement in Mohbad’s case, particularly on alleged bullying and physical assault.
Sam Larry denied the claim while stating that the viral video was manipulated to frame him, arguing that there is no footage that shows him physically assaulting Mohbad.
He stated that Zlatan was there and witnessed all that transpired on that day, and against public interpretation of the viral clip, Zlatan could attest to his claim of not assaulting Mohbad on set on that fateful day.

During the conversation, Sam Larry, however, revealed the reason for his ‘intimidating’ appearance at Mohbad and Zlatan’s music video shoot set.
He stated that Mohbad made him waste his money to book hotel reservations and organize a show and failed to show up due to his involvement with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) a day before the show in Dubai.
Furthermore, he stressed that due to the disappointment, he had continued to nurse grudges with Mobhad while asking him to pay back the money he wasted to host a show, book flights, and make hotel reservations.
However, VDM released video footage revealing the conversation between Sam Larry and Zlatan Ibile, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.
