Bystanders quickly rushed to his aid and pulled him away from the path of oncoming BRT buses, preventing what could have been a more tragic outcome.
Sympathisers gathered at the scene and helped recover his goods while efforts were made to revive him. After some time, he regained consciousness but appeared disoriented and could not state his name or home address.
The motorcyclist reportedly remained at the scene, but witnesses questioned why he was riding on the BRT lane in the first place.

A commuter, Gloria Ude, criticised the growing misuse of the dedicated lane, noting that it was never designed for motorcycles. She said the speed at which some riders move on the corridor puts pedestrians at serious risk, especially those unaware that motorcycles use the route.
She called on the government to enforce stricter regulations, stressing that the lanes should be reserved strictly for BRT buses.
Other residents at the scene echoed similar concerns, urging authorities to ensure that the rules apply to everyone, including security personnel who sometimes flout traffic laws.
They noted that better enforcement would go a long way in preventing avoidable accidents and saving lives.
