Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has appealed to citizens not to lose faith in the country despite ongoing security concerns, assuring that efforts are underway to restore peace across affected communities.
Speaking during a women’s gathering held at the Ekitikete Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, Eko Hot Blog gathered that the First Lady said the Federal Government, security agencies and international partners were working together to tackle insecurity and strengthen national stability.

According to a statement issued by her office on Sunday, she expressed confidence that the current security difficulties would be overcome through coordinated actions by relevant authorities.
Senator Tinubu also commended President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to addressing security threats nationwide, urging Nigerians, particularly women, to remain optimistic and continue supporting efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace.

She maintained that Nigeria possesses enormous potential and resilience, adding that the challenges confronting the country are temporary and would eventually be resolved.
Her remarks come as several parts of the country continue to grapple with incidents of kidnappings, attacks and other security-related challenges.
States such as Oyo, Benue and Borno have recorded repeated cases that have disrupted daily activities and raised concerns among residents.
One of the recent incidents occurred in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where armed men reportedly invaded schools in the Ahoro Esinele axis, abducting pupils and teachers while leaving casualties in their wake.
During the event, the First Lady also unveiled a N100 million business support scheme for 2,000 women traders in Ekiti State.

The initiative is aimed at helping beneficiaries expand their businesses, improve household incomes and contribute to local economic development.
She further encouraged residents of the state to continue supporting Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, while expressing appreciation for the backing his administration has received from the people.
