EKO HOT BLOG reports that according to him, “Delighted to host Their Excellencies, Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson at my Kano residence for this joyful Sallah celebration. Wishing everyone peace, blessings, and prosperity.”
It was not immediately clear whether Obi and Makinde visited at the same time, but the meeting has drawn attention amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Meanwhile, Obi raised concerns over the worsening insecurity in the country, warning that the situation reflects a serious failure of governance.
In a statement posted on his verified X handle on Sunday and titled “A Breakdown of Governance and Humanity,” Obi said it was unacceptable for terrorists to force citizens to flee their ancestral homes without consequences.
He stressed that Nigerians deserve to live in peace and security, not under constant threat from violent groups.
Obi further lamented that non-state actors appear to be assuming the authority of the state, determining where citizens can live and under what conditions.

The former Anambra State governor called for urgent and decisive action to address the security crisis, particularly in the northern region, where attacks have intensified in recent months.
