- Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has officially suspended the search for a husband for his 21-year-old adopted autistic daughter, Chiemeka.
- The decision follows an influx of more than 1,000 applications from suitors within 48 hours of the announcement.
- The initial call for suitors included significant perks such as free housing for life, a joint property, and lifetime financial support from the church.
The highly publicized search for a suitor for Chiemeka Chibuzor, the adopted daughter of Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has been put on hold.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the OPM General Overseer announced the suspension via his Facebook page on Thursday, April 16, 2026, citing an unmanageable volume of interest from prospective husbands.

“Chiemeka Chibuzor’s wedding is hereby suspended. More than a thousand applications,” the cleric wrote, signing off with his royal title as HRM King, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere.
Earlier in the week, the Apostle had set the internet abuzz by inviting “young, physically and mentally fit” men to apply for Chiemeka’s hand in marriage.
To ensure her long-term care and comfort, he offered a comprehensive welfare package, including a house built in the names of both the husband and wife, a lifetime of financial security, and free housing.
A critical part of the arrangement was that OPM staff would conduct unannounced welfare checks to ensure Chiemeka was being treated with the dignity and care her condition requires.

This is not the first time the OPM founder has waded into marriage arrangements for individuals with special needs.
In March 2026, he successfully organized the wedding of a non-verbal autistic man known as Aboy to an older woman, a move intended to provide the man with a lifelong companion and caregiver.
The suspension of Chiemeka’s marriage plans appears to be a strategic pause to allow the cleric and the OPM board to properly vet the massive pool of candidates.
Given the vulnerability of his daughter, the Apostle emphasized that the process would only resume under his direct further instructions.
For now, the 1,000+ suitors will have to wait for a “divine signal” or a further administrative update from the King of OPM.
