EKO HOT BLOG reports that his expected departure comes just days after City defeated Chelsea F.C. 1-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, securing a domestic double following their Carabao Cup triumph earlier in the season.
Despite City still being mathematically involved in the Premier League title race, the club’s hopes remain slim as they would need to win their remaining matches and rely on Arsenal F.C. dropping points against Burnley F.C. or Crystal Palace F.C..
Guardiola joined Manchester City in 2016 and transformed the club into a dominant force in English and European football. During his time in charge, City won six Premier League titles, including an unprecedented four consecutive league crowns, alongside their first UEFA Champions League trophy.
The Spaniard also guided the club to three FA Cup titles, five League Cups, and three FA Community Shield victories, taking his trophy haul at City to 20 major honours.
Reports from The Mirror claim senior figures within the club have already been informed ahead of an official announcement expected after the final game of the campaign. The timing is believed to allow supporters an opportunity to bid farewell during the club’s trophy parade scheduled for May 25.
Although Guardiola still has one year remaining on his current contract, uncertainty surrounding his future has persisted for several months. There is also speculation he could remain associated with the club in a different capacity after stepping down as manager.

Attention has already shifted toward potential successors, with former City assistant Enzo Maresca and former captain Vincent Kompany, currently managing FC Bayern Munich, emerging as leading candidates.
Before arriving in England, Guardiola managed FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich, establishing himself as one of the most decorated managers in football history.
