Security agencies have since launched rescue operations aimed at securing the release of the victims and apprehending those responsible for the attack.
Reacting to the incident, Tinubu expressed sympathy to the Oyo State Government, Governor Seyi Makinde, and the affected families over the tragic development.
“I am saddened by the reported killing of one of the teachers kidnapped by the gunmen who invaded the community. I sympathise with Governor Seyi Makinde and commend the steps he has taken on the matter,” the President said.
Tinubu assured Nigerians that the Federal Government was collaborating closely with the Oyo State Government and security agencies to ensure the safe rescue of all abducted victims.
The President also commended the Inspector-General of Police and police authorities in Oyo and Kwara states for their swift response and deployment of tactical and Intelligence Response Team operatives to the area.

According to him, the Inspector-General of Police is personally supervising the technology-driven rescue operation following directives from the Presidency.
“We expect a breakthrough soon. The bandits and all their local collaborators will be fished out and made to face the full wrath of the law,” Tinubu stated.
The President further argued that the recurring cases of kidnapping across the country have reinforced the need for the establishment of state police to improve security coverage in underserved communities.
He urged the National Assembly to accelerate legislative processes for the creation of state police structures across the country.
