Addressing supporters, he alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission would not acknowledge any leadership of the Labour Party while he remained a member, claiming there were efforts to keep him off the ballot.

According to him, he decided to leave the Labour Party after receiving information that his continued membership would hinder the party’s recognition by the electoral body.
He vowed to participate in the next presidential race regardless of obstacles, insisting that his supporters would ensure that votes are properly accounted for.
Obi also criticised the current administration over borrowing, alleging that it had accumulated more debt than previous governments combined and that repayment obligations would stretch decades into the future.

Outlining his priorities, the former governor said his administration would focus heavily on education and healthcare, arguing that national development depends on deliberate investment in human capital.
He pledged to tackle poverty and insecurity, adding that corruption could be significantly reduced if leaders and their families refrained from benefiting from public resources.

Reflecting on his tenure in Anambra State, Obi maintained that he avoided conflicts of interest while in office.
He said he declined to create an official role for his wife and did not allocate government land to himself or his family, challenging anyone with contrary evidence to present it to the appropriate authorities.
The National Coordinator of the OBIDIENT Movement, Tanko Yunusa, urged members to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of 2027 and rally behind ADC as a platform for political change.
Similarly, the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator, Ben Smith, described the forthcoming election as a defining moment for Nigeria’s youth, workers and families seeking improved security and economic opportunities.
