EKO HOT BLOG reports that Arabambi made the allegation during an interview with Nevon HQ, claiming that the party had more than ₦12 billion in one account and $15 million in another dollar-denominated account before Obi allegedly distanced himself from the party.
According to him, Obi left the Labour Party with the funds and subsequently severed ties with the party.
The Labour Party chieftain further argued that Obi had never personally earned such an amount throughout his career, insisting that the figures involved exceeded his known financial capacity.
Arabambi also alleged that one of Obi’s companies in the United Kingdom became bankrupt over a debt of about £900,000.
He added that the party would soon initiate legal action over the alleged missing funds, stressing that the matter would not be allowed to go unresolved.

Speaking during the interview, Arabambi said:
“In that account we had over 12 billion naira and in another dollar account we had 15 million dollars that Obi ran away with. That was why he ran away from Labour Party, Obi has never made 12 billion naira. Even his company in UK went bankrupt because of 900 thousand pounds.”
