EKOHOTBLOG gathered that, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the Eko Club of Pennsylvania, USA, proudly concluded its recent educational outreach by commissioning the new Holy Cross Computer Center in Lagos Island.
This event marks a significant milestone in the club’s ongoing commitment to improving access to technology and computer literacy in Nigeria.
The project aims to empower students and staff at Holy Cross Catholic School with essential digital skills that are crucial for their academic and future professional success.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by members of the community, school staff, pupils, and representatives of the club, all celebrating this achievement together.
The Eko Club of Pennsylvania was established as a non-profit organization in March 2020, officially registering on the 19th of the same month. Since its inception, the organization has focused on community outreach, particularly in advancing education and technology.
In its quest to expand its impact and connect with other diaspora groups, the Eko Club of Pennsylvania sought membership in Eko Club International, an umbrella organization uniting all Eko Clubs across the globe.
After fulfilling all membership requirements, the club’s application was approved by the Membership Committee and later ratified by the executive council in June 2022.
This approval made the Pennsylvania chapter the 23rd member of Eko Club International, allowing it to participate in wider collaborative efforts to uplift communities both locally and internationally.
