Police Commissioner, CP Olohundare Jimoh, directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, to take over the case from the Ejigbo Police Division, which had earlier invited the school principal for questioning.
In a statement on Thursday, Police spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the principal, who also doubles as the proprietor of the school, confirmed that the students captured in the video had already graduated.
“The Commissioner of Police has directed the SCID to take over the case for a comprehensive investigation. The principal clarified that the students in the video had already graduated. Nonetheless, the school is cooperating fully with investigators,” Adebisi noted.

The police stressed that the matter was being treated with utmost seriousness given its implications for morality and discipline in schools.
“The Command calls on all school authorities, parents, and guardians to take proactive steps in supervising their wards. Every stakeholder has a responsibility to instil good behaviour, moral values, and discipline in young people,” the statement added.
The Command further warned that negligence by school owners regarding disciplinary lapses would not be tolerated and urged the public to report disturbing activities in schools promptly.
Adebisi assured that findings from the investigation would be made public, reiterating the Command’s commitment to ensuring peace, order, and responsible upbringing across Lagos State.
