“Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command, while conducting a routine stop-and-search operation along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, intercepted an unregistered commercial shuttle bus conveying six occupants and arrested one male occupant found in possession of a suspected human body part, firearms, and other stolen items,” she stated.
She identified the suspect as Samson Onilewaji, aged 21, adding that he was allegedly found with a suspected human right hand, two locally made pistols, one live cartridge, two axes, one Point of Sale (POS) terminal machine and five Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards.
Adebisi said preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect allegedly confessed to recently robbing three persons of their valuables, including the recovered POS terminal and ATM cards.

She added that investigations were ongoing to determine the identity of the owner of the suspected human hand, establish how the suspect came into possession of it and ascertain its intended use.
The police spokesperson disclosed that efforts were being intensified to identify and apprehend other suspected accomplices linked to the suspect.
She stated that the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Adebisi also quoted the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, as reaffirming the command’s commitment to combating violent crimes and other criminal activities in the state.
