Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eko Hot Blog reports that the defection was announced on Tuesday by the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, during the party’s 14th National Caucus meeting held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

Yilwatda, who is also from Plateau State, said Mutfwang’s decision represents a significant boost for the APC and consolidates its political dominance in the North-Central zone.

“With the defection of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the entire North-Central geopolitical region is now under the control of the All Progressives Congress,” the APC chairman stated.
The move marks a major political realignment in Plateau State and is expected to reshape the state’s political landscape, with potential implications for future electoral contests at both state and national levels.
