EKO HOT BLOG reports that the game ended 2-2 after 120 minutes of intense action at the Stadion in Berlin. Spain took the lead twice in regular time, but Portugal kept fighting back, with Cristiano Ronaldo playing a key role in their comeback.
Spain struck first in the 21st minute through Martin Zubimendi, but Portugal responded quickly when Nuno Mendes equalised in the 26th minute. Mikel Oyarzabal put Spain ahead again just before halftime, finishing neatly in the 45th minute to make it 2-1.
In the second half, Portugal pushed hard for another equaliser, and it came in the 61st minute when Ronaldo found the back of the net with a well-placed shot. The goal sent the match into extra time after neither side could find a winner.
Despite Ronaldo being subbed off before the shootout, Portugal held their nerve from the spot. Ruben Neves stepped up to score the winning penalty, sending the ball into the bottom left corner and sparking celebrations among the Portuguese players and fans.
Spain looked heartbroken at full-time, having let the lead slip twice and missed out on what would have been their second Nations League trophy. For Portugal, it was a proud night as they lifted the trophy again, showing strong character throughout the match.

It was a tough, entertaining final with both sides creating chances, but Portugal’s resilience and composure in the shootout made the difference.
