Eko Hot Blog reports that the Quintessential Youths have expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, and the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy for the successful organization of the YOU-LEAD Programme.
In a statement released after the programme, the youth group described the initiative as a transformative experience that extended beyond conventional training, equipping participants with practical knowledge in leadership, civic responsibility, emergency preparedness, and personal development.
“This programme has been more than just training; it has been a transformative journey that empowered us with real-life skills in leadership, communication, mental health awareness, personal branding, and teamwork,” the group stated.
Participants noted that the programme created a conducive environment for learning, unlearning, and relearning, while also exposing them to critical life-saving skills such as emergency response and CPR.
A major highlight of the programme was the “My Hood, My Solution” initiative, which challenged participants to identify pressing issues within their communities and develop practical, sustainable solutions. “This initiative strengthened our problem-solving abilities and reinforced our commitment to driving positive change at the grassroots level,” the statement added.
The group commended the organizers for their visionary investment in youth development and capacity building. “Initiatives like YOU-LEAD are essential in shaping a generation that is proactive, responsible, and purpose-driven,” they said.
