Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu today commissioned the new 37 km LMRT Red Line rail system, integrating major bus terminals across Lagos.
In Facebook posts, the governor called the new rail line “a monumental day” and “a generational leap” for Lagos.

He said it is “more than just a project; it’s a generational leap for our city.”
The governor emphasized that the rail line will reshape Lagos’s urban landscape and accelerate development. “By connecting critical points across Lagos, we’re opening doors to opportunities, growth, and a sustainable future,” he posted.
