During the visit, Apostle Selman also provided humanitarian assistance valued at over N200 million, including cash donations and food supplies for affected communities.

Mutfwang described the visit as a strong gesture of solidarity during a painful period, thanking the cleric for standing with the people of Plateau State in their time of need.
He commended Selman’s contributions to society, noting that his presence offered comfort and encouragement to both the government and residents affected by the violence.
The governor also appreciated other members of the delegation for their support.
The governor emphasized that the state government had extended relief efforts to all affected persons regardless of religious affiliation, stressing the importance of unity and compassion in responding to crises.
He also acknowledged messages of sympathy from across Nigeria, including from President Bola Tinubu, saying such support had helped strengthen the resolve of the people.

Mutfwang assured citizens that government was taking steps to prevent a recurrence of such attacks, while urging residents to remain hopeful and committed to peace.
He further encouraged Plateau indigenes at home and abroad to contribute to rebuilding the state.
In his remarks, Apostle Selman said his visit was intended to comfort victims and encourage the government in its efforts to restore stability.
He described Plateau as a land of resilience and cultural richness but expressed concern over the recurring insecurity affecting communities.
Selman urged continued hope and perseverance, expressing confidence that the state would overcome its current challenges.

As part of his intervention, he announced the distribution of relief materials, including about 3,000 bags of rice alongside other essential items, as well as financial support exceeding N200 million.
He explained that the donations would be shared in collaboration with the state government and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to reach those affected.
He added that while the assistance cannot replace lives lost, it is meant to bring relief and demonstrate solidarity, calling for collective effort to restore lasting peace in Plateau State.
