Senators Akpabio, Barau Lead Over 40 Colleagues To APC’s National Secretariat For Crucial Meeting

The APC’s National Working Committee has met with Senators Godswill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau for the Senate President and Deputy Senate President positions respectively.

The purpose of the meeting is to address the crisis arising from the party’s decision to zone the leadership positions in the 10th National Assembly.

Over 40 senators arrived at the party’s office for the crucial meeting.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday, held a meeting with their chosen nominees for the roles of Senate President and Deputy Senate President in the upcoming 10th National Assembly. The nominees in question were Senators Godswill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau, respectively. The meeting was conducted at the APC national headquarters in Abuja and was overseen by the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
This online media platform gathered Akpabio and Barau arrived at the party’s office with over 40 senators around 12:55 pm in two coater buses.

The aim of the meeting is to find answers to the leadership crisis arising from the decision of the APC to zone the leadership positions in the 10th National Assembly.
It would be recalled that the APC last week announced a zoning arrangement and preferred candidates for the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, Speaker and Deputy Speaker in the 10th National Assembly.
