Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has denied claims connecting him to an alleged dispute involving social media figures Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, and Mitchell Mukoro, popularly called King Mitchy.
The controversy followed online allegations suggesting an inappropriate relationship or undisclosed arrangement between Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy. VeryDarkMan reportedly amplified the claims, linking them to his broader criticism of the current administration, Eko Hot Blog reports.

The situation escalated after King Mitchy, a philanthropist and content creator, announced that she had renovated a rundown school within six days, presenting the project as evidence that rapid change is possible with genuine commitment.

Her remarks were widely perceived as indirect criticism of VeryDarkMan, who responded by accusing her of being used to promote the image of President Tinubu’s government. He also allegedly claimed in a separate video that both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy had threatened his life.
In a statement posted on Instagram on Saturday, Seyi Tinubu dismissed the accusations as unfounded and misleading.
He explained that he met King Mitchy only once at a public event attended by others, where he made a financial contribution to support her non-governmental organisation.
According to him, this was consistent with his longstanding efforts to assist young Nigerians and community initiatives. He added that a planned follow-up meeting to review the impact of the donation did not take place due to health reasons.

Tinubu firmly rejected suggestions of any private meetings or secret dealings, stating that no improper interaction had ever occurred.
Addressing VeryDarkMan directly, he expressed concern that a disagreement he was not involved in had been used to draw his name into a narrative he described as baseless.
He accused the activist of attempting to damage his reputation and insisted that supporting charitable causes should not be portrayed as wrongdoing.
He further stated that repeating allegations does not make them true and maintained that he would not be intimidated by what he described as fabricated stories.

Emphasising his opposition to bullying, Tinubu said he understands the harm such behaviour can cause and would not allow himself to be pressured by false claims.
He concluded by reaffirming his dedication to youth-focused philanthropy through his foundation and urged those involved to tone down tensions and prioritise responsible public discourse.
