A serving Commissioner III at the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission, Segun Agbaje, has formally declared his intention to contest for the Epe Constituency I seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly in the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Dr. Agbaje, who previously served as Chairman of Epe Local Government, made his declaration with a firm commitment to advancing progress, strengthening unity, and accelerating development across the constituency.

Speaking on his ambition, he noted that his experience in public service has equipped him with the capacity to deliver impactful representation and responsive leadership.
“My major concern is the progress, unity, and better development of Epe. I am stepping forward to serve and ensure that our people enjoy greater dividends of democracy,” he stated.
He emphasized that Epe has vast potential that can be harnessed through effective legislation, strategic planning, and inclusive governance, adding that his vision is to build on existing achievements while introducing innovative solutions to community challenges.
Drawing from his tenure as local government chairman and his current role in the education sector, Dr. Agbaje assured constituents of a leadership style rooted in accountability, accessibility, and service.
“I have had the privilege of serving at different levels, and I understand the needs of our people. With unity and collective effort, we can achieve more for Epe,” he added.
He also called on stakeholders, party members, and residents to support his aspiration, promising to represent their interests diligently at the state assembly if elected.
