Tinubu said the government would continue intelligence-led rescue efforts aimed at safely recovering abducted children and other vulnerable citizens.
“I have directed all relevant security agencies to sustain and intensify coordinated rescue operations for abducted children and other vulnerable citizens across the country,” the President stated.
He stressed that operations must be carefully executed with priority placed on the safe recovery of victims.
The President also disclosed that his administration would strengthen school security in vulnerable communities through improved collaboration between security agencies, state governments and local communities.
According to him, measures being introduced include school vulnerability mapping, rapid-response systems between schools and security units, and enhanced community-based early warning structures.

Tinubu directed the Federal Ministry of Education and state governments to deepen the implementation of the Safe Schools framework to ensure schools in high-risk areas are better prepared against attacks.
He added that children rescued from abduction and violence would receive proper rehabilitation, counselling, medical care and educational support to aid their reintegration into society.
“Rescue is not the end of the government’s duty. A child who returns from trauma must return to care, medical attention, counselling, education and dignity,” he said.
The President also called on parents, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth groups, vigilantes and community members to support efforts aimed at protecting children and preventing attacks on schools.
Tinubu noted that protecting children should not be left to government alone, stressing that timely information sharing and community vigilance remain critical in preventing insecurity.
The President, who described Nigerian children as the pride and future of the country, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in education, healthcare, nutrition, social protection and safer communities.
He assured Nigerian children that their safety, education and future remain priorities of his administration.
