President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended prominent legal luminary, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), for donating a modern healthcare facility to Ikere-Ekiti in Ekiti State, describing the intervention as a major contribution to grassroots healthcare delivery.

Tinubu noted that private sector participation in social infrastructure development remains crucial to complementing government efforts, particularly in the health sector where access to quality medical care is still a challenge in many communities.
According to the President, initiatives such as the newly donated healthcare centre would help bridge existing gaps in healthcare delivery and improve the wellbeing of residents at the grassroots.
He stressed the importance of collaboration between government, private individuals and communities in achieving sustainable development and expanding access to essential public services.

Tinubu described Olanipekun’s gesture as a worthy example of patriotism and philanthropy, adding that the intervention would strengthen healthcare access for residents of Ikere-Ekiti and neighbouring communities.
The President further noted that the facility is expected to reduce pressure on existing public hospitals while improving access to emergency and primary healthcare services in the area.
In his remarks, Chief Olanipekun said the project formed part of his personal commitment to giving back to society and contributing to the development of his hometown and Ekiti State at large.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria stated that improving healthcare infrastructure remains critical to community development, expressing hope that the facility would positively impact the lives of residents.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders and other stakeholders, who described the project as a timely intervention capable of transforming healthcare delivery within the region.
