The exercise represents a crucial phase in the ruling party’s national ward congresses, where the incumbent president is seeking a clean sweep of domestic party structures to solidify his re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The final tally logged by internal party administrators showed that Tinubu defeated his direct challenger, Stanley Osifor, who managed to score a total of 42 votes.
Governor Lawal reported that 321,620 total valid votes were cast during the state-wide exercise, reflecting an exceptionally high turnout rate among the state’s active conservative membership base.
The returning officer noted that the structural breakdown of the field reports indicated a clean sweep across all 14 local government councils, confirming that the president’s administrative layout holds deep grassroots backing within the northwestern state.
The administrative compilation of the ballot results was structured through localized senatorial returning officers before reaching the state executive desk.
Senator Ikra Aliyu-Bilbis, representing Zamfara Central, and Senator Sahabi Ya’u of Zamfara North, personally managed the regional confirmation centers and presented their verified divisional score sheets to the chief returning officer.

Meanwhile, the results originating from the Zamfara West Senatorial District were organized and submitted by the respective local government council chairmen, ensuring a legally sound and synchronized validation chain.
The transparent conduct of the exercise was monitored by a dedicated field team from the Independent National Electoral Commission, led by the state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Mahmud Isah.
Following the formal declaration of the landslide victory, Governor Lawal confirmed that the certified results would be transmitted directly to the APC National Secretariat at Blantyre Street in Abuja for final national synthesis.
He commended the massive influx of local party loyalists who stood in lines across various wards, pledging that Zamfara’s executive command remains fully aligned with the central leadership layout to deliver long-term political stability.
