As of the time of filing this report, details of the discussions between the President and the legislative leaders had not been made public. Earlier on Tuesday, members of the Senate and the House of Representatives resumed plenary after postponing their earlier resumption date.

Lawmakers had initially scheduled their return for February 24 but delayed the session to allow committees conclude budget defence meetings with ministries, departments and agencies. The meeting between the President and the leadership of the National Assembly came about a week after Tinubu hosted senators and members of the House of Representatives at separate Ramadan Iftar gatherings at the Presidential Villa.
