The entourage included the Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caleb University, Prof. Foluke Dada-Lawanson; the President of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Mrs. Ezinwa Okoroafor; the Federal Capital Territory Lead for the NBA Women Forum, Princess Hadiza Afegbua; and the Publicity Lead for the BBold Campaign Team, Mrs. Ramlat Ridhwan.
The high-level courtesy call comes as Badejo-Okusanya prepares to take the reins of leadership of the apex legal body in Nigeria.
She recently emerged victorious in the association’s national elections, securing 9,891 votes to claim the top post.
Her victory places her in the history books as the 33rd President of the NBA and only the second female lawyer to hold the office, following in the footsteps of Chief Priscilla Kuye, who led the bar from 1991 to 1992.
Badejo-Okusanya is set to formally succeed the outgoing president, Afam Osigwe, SAN, at the NBA’s Annual General Conference scheduled to take place in Enugu next month, where she will officially begin her two-year tenure.
