- Tinubu is Nigeria’s Best Leader – Portable
- Says Nigeria beginning to experience genuine progress under Tinubu
- Tinubu focused on working quietly behind the scenes
Street pop artist Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has once again praised President Bola Tinubu, calling him the best leader Nigeria has ever had.
Eko Hot Blog reports that he made the remark in a viral video shared on Instagram on Monday, amid growing online backlash from other celebrities who had supported Tinubu during the 2023 general elections but have since expressed regret over the nation’s worsening economic situation.

Portable claimed that, despite public complaints and social media criticism, Nigeria is only beginning to experience genuine progress under Tinubu’s administration.
He said, “Since I was born and Nigeria has existed, people say ‘Nigeria will get better’. Nigeria only gets better under the Tinubu administration. It is President Bola Tinubu who makes the country great. He is the best president Nigeria ever had, though I don’t know how future presidents will perform, but he is the best we ever had.”
The ‘Zazu Zeh’ crooner further claimed that while many insult the president online, he believes Tinubu is simply focused on working quietly behind the scenes.
“Whenever Nigerians and bloggers insult Tinubu, the president does not respond to their criticisms because he is busy working,” he said.
Portable also reflected on his past criticism during the EndSARS protest, recalling how he joined many others in accusing former President Muhammadu Buhari of allegedly authorizing the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

He said, “He is working and just talking, I don’t lie, because I was part of people who previously abused the president during the EndSARS, where former president Muhammadu Buhari allegedly ordered Lekki Toll Gate shootings, but Tinubu is indeed working as president.”
He added that anyone who works hard under Tinubu’s leadership will find a way to thrive, citing his own experience as proof.
The video sparked widespread reactions on social media, just days after the singer also criticized Buhari’s administration for increasing hardship and shutting down food borders across the country.
