Among those present were Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Chairman of the Lagos APC Primary Elections Local Organising Committee, Mutiu Aare, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Lagos APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, Seyi Tinubu, and the 40 APC flag bearers for the state assembly elections.
Addressing the candidates, President Tinubu commended the Lagos APC leadership for conducting what he described as a successful and credible primary election process that produced candidates capable of representing the interests of residents across the state.
The President urged the candidates to remain focused on grassroots mobilisation, voter engagement, and party loyalty as the party begins preparations for the next general elections.

He stressed the need for unity, discipline, hard work, and commitment to public service, while setting what he described as an ambitious but achievable electoral target for the party.
According to Tinubu, APC leaders and candidates must work collectively towards securing at least 29 million votes nationwide, noting that electoral success would depend on strategic mobilisation and sustained engagement with the grassroots.
The President also reminded the candidates that public office is fundamentally about service to the people.
He charged them to prioritise the welfare, aspirations, and development of their constituents if elected, while remaining true ambassadors of the APC’s values and vision.
Tinubu further encouraged the candidates to maintain close relationships with their communities and continue engaging residents on issues that directly impact their lives.
The meeting is widely seen as part of ongoing efforts by the ruling party to consolidate its structures and strengthen its electoral machinery ahead of the 2027 polls.
