Addressing attendees, Hon. Tobun stressed that leadership is a structured and collective process, not the responsibility of one individual.
“Governance is not a one-man show. It is a system built on collaboration, accountability, and due process to ensure the best outcomes for the people,” he explained.
He noted that the principle of checks and balances remains essential in ensuring that leadership decisions are well scrutinized and aligned with the interests of the people, emphasizing that effective governance thrives on transparency and institutional responsibility rather than arbitrary actions.
The session also provided an opportunity to highlight the scope of developmental strides recorded across Epe Constituency I under his representation.
These include road construction projects, installation of transformers to improve electricity supply, provision of solar-powered street lights, and the drilling of boreholes to enhance access to clean water.
In addition, Hon. Tobun outlined investments in human capital development, including the establishment of ICT centres equipped with modern facilities, medical outreach initiatives such as eye care programmes, and various empowerment schemes targeted at youths, women, and vulnerable groups.
“All these initiatives are designed to reduce poverty, create opportunities, and improve the quality of life for our people,” he said.
What stood out during the engagement was the overwhelming response from constituents, many of whom took turns to share testimonies and highlight additional projects and interventions executed by the lawmaker.
“For nearly three hours, people kept speaking about one project or another.
It shows that the impact is real and felt across communities,” a stakeholder remarked.
The atmosphere was marked by enthusiasm and a sense of shared accomplishment, as attendees openly expressed appreciation for the developmental efforts recorded so far.
The interaction not only validated the lawmaker’s claims but also strengthened public confidence in his leadership.
Beyond showcasing achievements, the press conference also served as a bridge between leadership and the grassroots, fostering dialogue and reinforcing trust.
It provided a moment of reflection on the journey so far and the road ahead for Epe Constituency I.
Observers noted that the constituency is at a critical stage where consolidating ongoing progress is key. With visible improvements in infrastructure, social services, and community development, the need to sustain the momentum was strongly emphasized.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Tobun reiterated his dedication to service and inclusive governance.
“The journey is ongoing. What we have achieved is only a foundation. With unity and continued support, we can do even more for our people,” he said.
