Tragedy as Fire Claims Lives of Mother and Two Children in Ondo City

A devastating fire in Ondo City, Ondo West Local Government Area, claimed the lives of a woman and her two children on Monday, Eko Hot Blog reports.
The victims were trapped in the burning building and, unfortunately, could not be rescued by neighbors or the State Fire Service, due to a lack of water and chemicals.

The fire started around 11 a.m. at a house owned by a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Mrs. Saratu Adelakun.
The house was completely destroyed, and the victims, a petty trader, and her two children, Bukola and Ife, were burnt beyond recognition.
“When the fire was raging, we called the Fire Service, only to be informed that there was no water and chemicals.
“In fact, the officer we spoke to immediately switched off his phone,” a resident lamented.

The charred remains of the victims have been deposited at the State General Hospital mortuary in Ondo.
