Eko Hot Blog reports that Hon. Wale Raji, the lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, has facilitated a block of furnished three classrooms at the UPE Primary School, Imokun Epe, Lagos State.

The project was commissioned by Hon. Wasiu Tolani Odeyemi on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

This facility was furnished to create a more conducive learning environment for children of the school after years of managing the few classes available.

The low-key commissioning ceremony was attended by Hon Odeyemi, Eredo LCDA chairman, Hon Ismail Monsuru Akinloye and his vice, Mrs Stella Oladunjoye, Education Secretary, Epe Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Otunba Aliu Shittu, amongst others.

Hon. Odeyemi in his keynote address, acknowledged the presence of the leaders and community members present and expressed his happiness with the new project as it would also serve children from his own community.

“I welcome you all to this gathering, I want to thank God that something good like this happened here in this community. I happy because children from my community in Odo-mole will be attending to this school till God provides theirs because the community is now getting enlarged,” the politician said.

He appreciated the effort of Hon. Raji for enhancing development in Epe Division and showered him with prayers.

He said, “We want to use this time to appreciate Honourable Wale Raji for all his good works in the Epe Division. For not disappointing people who put him power, God almighty won’t disappoint him. All he lays his hands on shall prosper. All he desires to do for his people, God will make him achieve them all with ease.”

In his goodwill message, Hon. Akinloye said the lawmaker has made Epe Federal Constituency proud with his robust representation.

“We thank God. On behalf of the good people of Eredo community, we want to say a big thank you to Honourable Wale Raji. As the Eredo LCDA chairman, I spoke to Hon Raji on this project, and sincerely without mincing words or being biased, he has done so well,” he said.

“As far as House of Representatives in Epe is concerned, in his own tenure, he has made us proud. We working for him have never been disappointed. God that did not make him disappoint us, won’t disappoint him.

“To Hon Wale Raji, the reward for good work is more work, which he’s been doing and may God continually help him to do more developmental projects as he desires in his heart. When it comes to developmental projects that he has facilitated into Epe division is second to none, he’s up there and none can beat his record. So on behalf of Epe constituency, we say a big thank you.”

Afterwards, Hon Odeyemi led the way to the block of furnished three classrooms, as it was commissioned amidst joy and happiness. He officially handed over the keys to the classes to the headmistress Mrs Akano Adetoun.

Mrs Adetoun with gladness expressed her appreciation to Hon. Raji and all who supported to bring the project to fruition, revealing their initial challenges.

“I don’t know how to show my appreciation because when I got here and noticed there were just six classrooms and have nine streams of classes and for some, we have ‘A’ and ‘B’. We joined three classes together which wasn’t so good and I have to move some of the classes into my office,” she said.

“When the building project started, I couldn’t contain my joy and when it was finished, I just gave glory to God. I want to say thank you to all that have ensured this project became a success. On behalf of the teachers, the pupils and the community, we say thank you. God bless Hon Wale Raji and God bless you all.”

Notably, the school project is one of the numerous achievements and projects Hon. Raji has facilitated in Epe Division to enhance its development.
