Troops of Operation HADIN KAI successfully carried out a precision airstrike against terrorist hideouts in the Sambisa Forest, Borno State, neutralising several insurgents and disrupting militant operations.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that the operation was based on verified intelligence indicating increased insurgent activity near the Parisu axis deep within the forest.

According to Makama, the air component was deployed around 9:00 p.m. on March 20 to conduct armed reconnaissance and interdiction. Surveillance identified groups of suspected Boko Haram fighters moving tactically and converging on a concealed structure hidden under dense vegetation.
The aircrew maintained persistent observation before executing a precision strike, destroying the structure and eliminating multiple insurgents.

Post-strike assessments revealed that surviving militants fled from adjacent hideouts in confusion, attempting to escape further into the forest.
“Following up on fleeing elements, the air platform conducted a second strike on another hideout,” Makama added. “This engagement further degraded the terrorists’ operational capabilities and forced remaining fighters into disorganized retreat.”
The operation demonstrates the continued effectiveness of Nigerian military intelligence and air power in counter-insurgency efforts, aiming to weaken Boko Haram’s strongholds and restore stability in affected areas of Borno State.
