Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has vowed that Abia State will be secured for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Uzodinma, who is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors—the political movement backing President Tinubu—made the pledge on Friday in Umuahia during the inauguration of the group’s coordinators in Abia State.

The governor was represented at the event by the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who conveyed his message to party faithful and stakeholders in attendance.
Uzodinma said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was designed to deepen public understanding of President Tinubu’s policies and mobilise grassroots support ahead of the next general elections. He maintained that the administration’s reforms across key sectors of the economy justify the call for a second term.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda represents a firm commitment to national renewal rather than a political slogan, stressing that it was conceived to address years of economic hardship and unmet expectations.
Speaking on his behalf, Onyejeocha said the Tinubu administration has taken concrete steps to improve the welfare of Nigerian workers and strengthen labour protections. She noted that the government has prioritised fair wages, workplace safety and job creation across multiple sectors.
She charged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take the message of the administration to the grassroots, emphasising that national policies only become meaningful when they positively affect local communities.
“You are now ambassadors of hope and change, serving as the link between government initiatives and the people,” she told the coordinators.

Also speaking, the Abia State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and former Minister of Science and Technology, Chief Henry Ikoh, said the group’s primary objective is to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election, along with all APC candidates, in Abia State and across the South-East in 2027.
Ikoh argued that the president’s leadership has repositioned the economy, citing improvements in revenue allocation to states, infrastructure development, and signs of currency stability.
He added that the achievements recorded so far provide sufficient grounds for Nigerians to renew Tinubu’s mandate at the polls.
The event ended with the formal unveiling of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ Abia State Secretariat, located on Winners’ Road, Umuahia, performed by Onyejeocha on behalf of Governor Uzodinma.
