Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, on Tuesday swore in 21 new commissioners, urging them to align with his administration’s agenda of repositioning the state for inclusive growth and sustainable development.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Benin City, Governor Okpebholo charged the appointees to deliver tangible results that would reflect a new era of governance in Edo State.
“You must key into this administration to prove to the world that a new Edo has risen,” the governor stated, emphasizing the need for teamwork, accountability, and innovation in public service.
Among those sworn in were Barr. Vincent Osas Uwadia, Etin-osa Ogbeiwi, Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP), Charity Amayaenvbo, Barr. Nosa Adams, Yakubu Oshiorenua, Felix Akhabue, Prof. Omorodion Ignatius, and Ohimai Ehijimetor.
Others include Eugenia Abdallah, Godwin Afekokhe Eshieshi, Prince Kassim Afegbua, Dr. Jerry Uwangue, Mr. John Akhigbe, Festus Ebea, Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele, Dr. Kenneth Okoruwa Ihensekhien, and Barr. Usenbo Paul Ehigie.
In addition to the commissioners, the governor also inaugurated chairmen and members of key state boards and commissions. These include the Edo State Bursary and Scholarship Board, the Senior Secondary Education Board, the Edo State Law Reform Commission, the Edo State Lottery Regulatory Commission, and the Edo State Ecological Funding and Management Commission.

Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s determination to foster good governance, strengthen institutions, and improve the quality of life for residents through transparent and result-driven leadership.
