According to Idris, communities are best placed to decide who represents them, noting that democratic participation begins with allowing the people to make their own choices.
“You have the right to choose your representatives. No one will be forced on any community,” he stated, urging party members to prioritise competence and service when making electoral decisions.
He cautioned against supporting aspirants who have not contributed meaningfully to the wellbeing of the people, advising voters to assess candidates based on their record of service.

The governor also highlighted the achievements of his administration, saying about 80 per cent of campaign promises had already been fulfilled in under three years.
“We are steadily delivering on our commitments and will continue to do so,” he assured.
On workers’ welfare, Idris reaffirmed that Kebbi State does not owe salaries, pensions, gratuities or death benefits, describing prompt payment as a core policy of his government.
He further disclosed that traditional institutions in the state have received government support through palace renovations, vehicle replacement and routine medical care.
The governor added that his administration would sustain the distribution of free fertilisers, agro-chemicals, power tillers and pumping machines to boost agricultural productivity across the state.

Idris also called on party leaders to intensify mobilisation for the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, stressing that it is key to building a credible internal electoral process.
He expressed concern over the low level of participation in the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area.
Earlier, the APC chairman in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, Sani Bello, praised the governor for what he described as a people-focused approach to governance.
Bello said the administration had remained true to its welfarist agenda, particularly in its support for farmers and vulnerable residents through the provision of free inputs and food items, describing the governor as attentive to the needs of the people.
