EKO HOT BLOG reports that transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the breakthrough on Tuesday via 𝕏, stating: “Viktor Gyökeres to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties involved.”
According to reports, Sporting Lisbon have accepted Arsenal’s final bid of €63.5 million upfront, with a further €10 million in performance-related add-ons. The player’s agent is also said to have reduced his commission to facilitate the deal.
Gyökeres, 27, will sign a five-year contract with the Gunners. Romano noted that the forward was fully committed to the move, adding, “He only wanted Arsenal.”
The Swedish international attracted interest from several top European clubs following a standout season in Portugal, but his preference for a move to North London helped Arsenal win the race.
His imminent arrival is regarded as a statement signing by Mikel Arteta’s side, who are determined to strengthen their attack as they aim to challenge for the Premier League title after narrowly missing out last season.
Gyökeres is expected to add strength and clinical edge to Arsenal’s frontline. Known for his physicality, sharp finishing, and intelligent positioning, the striker is seen as a perfect addition to complement the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.

With personal terms already agreed and paperwork being finalised, Arsenal are set to unveil Gyökeres as their latest addition in the coming days.
