At a meeting held in Fugar, leaders of the communities, under the platform of the South Uneme Leaders Forum, unanimously passed a vote of confidence in both Okpebholo and Oshiomhole, noting that President Tinubu has stabilised the nation’s economy.
Speaking after the meeting, the Secretary of the forum and former Etsako Central Local Council chairman, Ambrose Kevin Akhigbe, said the resolutions reached included a vote of confidence in Oshiomhole.
He explained that Oshiomhole’s administration constructed a 30 kilometre road from Anegbette to Uzanu and also secured the appointment of Uneme indigenes into key positions.
In recognition of these contributions, Oshiomhole was honoured with the traditional title of “Ozemoya of South Uneme” by the Oliola of Anegbette and Clan Head of South Uneme, Alhaji Yakubu Momoh Ugbodaga.

Akhigbe added that the people of South Uneme had resolved to demonstrate electoral unity by strengthening their political base ahead of local council polls and the 2027 general elections.
