Eko Hot Blog retrieves that Zelensky speaking at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, urged countries to recognise that their own future security is tied to Ukraine’s.
He called for unity and stronger military support, stressing that “peace depends on all of us.”
“There are no real security guarantees apart from strong alliances and weapons,” he said, making the case that goodwill alone is no longer enough.
Zelensky’s remarks came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump changed his stance on the conflict, saying for the first time that Ukraine could reclaim all of its occupied land. However, analysts say such a complete victory still seems unlikely in the near future.
The Ukrainian leader warned that global inaction only emboldens the Kremlin, saying, “Putin will keep pushing this war wider and deeper and Ukraine is only the first.”
He also highlighted Ukraine’s value to its allies, pointing to advanced weapons systems developed and tested during the war.
“It is cheaper to stop Putin now,” Zelensky said, arguing that the cost of supporting Ukraine today is less than what nations might pay later if Russian aggression spreads.
He also raised concerns about the increasing use of drones and artificial intelligence in warfare, describing the current moment as “the most destructive arms race in human history.”
He called for urgent international rules to regulate AI-driven weapons.

Zelensky noted that while he appreciates U.S. backing and had a “good meeting” with Donald Trump on Tuesday, he believes lasting peace will only come through collective responsibility: “In the end, peace depends on all of us.”
