Ogunlola said the exercise also targeted street trading, illegal motor parks, and other activities considered disruptive to traffic flow and public safety.
“The clean-up exercise, which commenced around 11 a.m., covered key locations including Ebute Metta Axis, Gbagada–Oshodi Expressway, Oshodi–Apapa Expressway, Lagos–Badagry Expressway, and Surulere,” she explained.
Major roads combed during the operation included Apapa Road, Murtala Mohammed Way, Herbert Macaulay Road, Western Avenue, Iganmu Roundabout, Eric Moore Road, Bode Thomas Road, Babs Animashaun, and Ogunlana Drive.

Other areas affected were Itire Link Bridge, Muyiwa Opaleye Street, Odo-Olowu, Gbagada–Anthony Expressway, Ikorodu Road, 2nd Rainbow, and Alakija, among others.
Ogunlola said the seizure of the motorcycles helped to ease vehicular movement and restore discipline in the affected areas, adding that the Lagos State Government remains committed to enforcing its traffic and transport regulations.
She reiterated that the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018 prohibits commercial motorcycles on certain highways and major routes.
“The task force will continue to sustain its operations to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment for all road users,” she added.
