A technocrat from Plateau State, Doro becomes the third minister from the state to serve in the current administration. He pledged to uphold fairness and transparency in managing the nation’s humanitarian programs.

“I intend to build an inclusive humanitarian framework founded on impartiality and independence,” Doro told senators during the session.
Pleased with his presentation and credentials, the Senate unanimously endorsed his nomination, asking him to “take a bow and go.”
President Bola Tinubu had earlier requested the Senate’s confirmation of Doro’s appointment in accordance with Section 147 (2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). The request, read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, was immediately referred to the Committee of the Whole for consideration.

Doro’s nomination followed the promotion of his predecessor, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who now serves as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, Doro is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, and strategic leadership in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, Doro holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA specializing in IT-driven business strategy, and a Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.

Onanuga described him as an “Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner” with hands-on experience in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), including urgent care centers, general practices, and hospitals.
Following his confirmation, Dr. Doro is expected to be sworn in as a member of the Federal Executive Council at the next session.
