The Aladepekun of Odo-Egiri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Musiliu Abiola Oliwo, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, conferred the prestigious honorary chieftaincy title of Baba Oba of Odo-Egiri Kingdom on High Chief Saheed Adesegun Olukoya.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the colourful ceremony, held in Odo-Egiri Kingdom, Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Epe Division of Lagos State, was attended by top monarchs, political leaders, and eminent personalities.

The honour, regarded as the highest traditional title in the kingdom, was conferred in recognition of High Chief Olukoya’s remarkable contributions to community development and in tribute to the legacy of his late father, Alhaji Mukadam Muhammad Robiu Olohuntele Tele-Olukoya, whose impact continues to resonate across Epe Division and Nigeria at large.
The event drew the presence of notable royal fathers including the Vice Chairman of the Epe Divisional Council of Obas and Chiefs, and the Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, HRM Oba Babatunde Olaogun Ogunlaja;
HRM Oba Kolawole Ayodele Aliru, Alade Uraka of Poka Land; HRM Oba Adelani Adeniyi, Adegbawojo of Odo-Gbawojo Kingdom; and HRM Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Adebowale, Omola of Odomola Kingdom.

After completing all traditional rites, High Chief Olukoya was officially installed amidst cheers and blessings from the royal fathers.
A grand reception followed at Father’s Yard, Ibonwon, where dignitaries from across the state gathered to celebrate the new Baba Oba.
Among the guests were Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency II; traditional rulers, captains of industries, security chiefs, and community leaders.
In his address, High Chief Olukoya expressed gratitude to the monarch and people of Odo-Egiri for the honour. “I am humbled by this recognition and deeply thankful to our revered Kabiyesi and the good people of Odo-Egiri,” he said.
“I will soon meet with the people to understand their needs and aspirations so that together, we can move this ancient kingdom to greater heights.”
Other dignitaries conferred with titles at the ceremony included High Chief Muftaudeen Omotayo Oshinaya and Yeye Aisha Abimbola Oshinaya as Bobadara and Yeye Bobadara; High Chief Egundeyi Olamide and Chief (Mrs.) Egundeyi Mayowa as Tayese and Yeye Tayese of Odo-Egiri Kingdom respectively.
The newly installed chiefs expressed appreciation to Oba Oliwo and the kingdom for recognizing their contributions.
