Epe Local Government, Lagos State, recorded a successful end-of-year engagement as the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Epe Branch, organised a two-day End-of-Year Get-Together Programme to honour an appreciate staff for their dedication and service.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the programme, held on Monday, December 15, and Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, was designed to strengthen unity within the workforce, promote institutional harmony, and recognise the commitment of staff to effective local governance under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Surah O. Animashaun, FHTI.
Activities on the first day featured a free medical outreach organised as part of the staff-focused initiative and extended to members of the public.
The outreach aimed at promoting health awareness and improving access to basic healthcare services within the community.
The second day was dedicated to a formal end-of-year celebration for staff of Epe Local Government, featuring goodwill messages, music, games, and other recreational activities.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of awards to outstanding staff members in recognition of their professionalism, diligence, and exemplary service.
Representing the Executive Chairman, the Vice Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Adeniyi Owolomoshe, received an Award of Exceptional Leadership on her behalf, presented by NULGE, Epe Branch, in recognition of her people-oriented leadership style and sustained commitment to staff welfare.
“This administration believes that a motivated workforce is the foundation of effective service delivery, and we will continue to prioritise staff welfare and institutional growth,” Owolomoshe said.
Also speaking at the event, NULGE Epe Branch leaders commended the Chairman’s support for workers, describing her leadership as inclusive and supportive.
“This award reflects the appreciation of workers for a leadership that listens, supports, and values its staff,” a union representative said.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Taofeek Araba, councillors, APC Epe Local Government Chairman, Comrade Toyin Gbadamosi, management staff, union leaders, and other invited guests.
The two-day programme boosted staff morale, reinforced unity within the local government workforce, and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to professionalism, staff welfare, and people-centred service delivery.
