Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, under Operation HADIN KAI, successfully repelled a coordinated terrorist attack along the Maiduguri–Damboa Main Supply Route in Borno on Monday.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the attack occurred around 3:10 pm on December 22, according to a credible military source.

While conducting a dominance patrol and escorting civilians, troops of 25 Brigade came under fire from ISWAP/JAS terrorists who employed armed drones, improvised explosive devices, and an ambush to disrupt military and civilian movement. Reinforcements from Brigade Headquarters quickly countered the attack, stabilising the area and denying terrorists freedom of action.
The source added that troops have maintained offensive operations across other sectors of Operation HADIN KAI under Operation Desert Sanity IV.
In the North Central region, troops under Operation Enduring Peace and Operation FANSAN YAMMA continued to record successes against kidnapping and criminal activities in Kaduna and Plateau States. In Kaduna, Sector 5 troops, working with local vigilantes, apprehended two suspected kidnappers in Pari and Rahama villages, Kauru Local Government Area.
In Plateau, Sector 2 OPEP troops responded to a kidnapping in Panyam town, Mangu Local Government Area, where one person was abducted and another killed. A swift response in Bokkos Local Government Area led to the rescue of a Reverend and his three children, who had been abducted from a church in Makundang village. The victims were debriefed and reunited with their families, while the search for the fleeing kidnappers continues in surrounding mountainous areas.
The source reaffirmed the military’s commitment to sustaining pressure on terrorists and criminal elements nationwide to protect lives and property.
