Hours later, her family reportedly received a phone call from a man claiming to be her boyfriend, using Esther’s mobile phone. The man said Esther had come to visit him and that he had purchased food for them to eat. He alleged that during the meal, Esther suddenly began vomiting.
The man claimed he rushed her to Kubwa General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Following her death, the boyfriend reportedly fled the hospital and has remained unreachable since.

The FCT Police have confirmed that a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Esther’s death has been launched.
SP Josephine Adeh, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, said:
“The corpse has been deposited for autopsy to determine the actual cause of death, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspect.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help the investigation to come forward as police work to locate the boyfriend and establish the cause of Esther’s sudden death.
